Twenty years of passion. An unforgettable Sunday.

The Italian reptile & exotic animals market

It was 2006. A group of enthusiasts opened the doors of a small market in a sports hall in Emilia, not imagining that twenty years later it would become Italy's leading reptile and exotic animals event. On Sunday 15 November we return once more to celebrate the 20th Anniversary — and we haven't lost an ounce of enthusiasm.

Since 2006, Ozzano dell'Emilia turns into the beating heart of Italian reptile keeping. Not just any fair: an authentic gathering where animals are well cared for, breeders know every specimen, and you can talk for hours about morphs, genetics and substrates — without anyone losing interest.

Over twenty years, thousands of visitors have walked these aisles: breeders and enthusiasts, exhibitors from half of Europe, families discovering reptiles for the first time, young people turning a curiosity into a passion. Whoever you are, you'll find something that surprises you.

You'll find carefully selected exhibitors offering reptiles, amphibians, arthropods, insects, small mammals, tropical plants, equipment and everything you need to keep them well. Every exhibitor is a hobbyist first, a seller second — if you have questions, you've found the right people.

Our mission is to share the passion for herpetology, introducing newcomers to this world with awareness and knowledge, contributing to the growth of the reptile-keeping hobby and the understanding of native herpetofauna.

Ozzano dell'Emilia is just outside Bologna: easy to reach by motorway or by train, with TPER buses connecting Bologna's main railway station to Ozzano dell'Emilia. A Sunday well spent, less than an hour from most cities in Emilia-Romagna.

One day only, by choice. Concentrating everything on a Sunday means more energy, bigger crowds, less stress for the animals. Come at your own pace and take your time — the aisles reward those who explore them slowly.

What you'll find at SQUAMATA
